The McConnaughey Family

Established by Mr. Donald McConnaughey in memory of his wife Terri, an alumnus of Monroe County Community College, this scholarship honors her dedication as a student and work as an MCCC Writing Fellow and Agora staff member.

Terri graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia in 1977. In 2004, she graduated magna cum laude from MCCC with an associate in science degree. She served as a Writing Fellow at MCCC for nine years. She was a co-recipient of the Writing Fellow of the Year Award in 1999-2000. Terri also spent several years on the The Agora Staff.

A resident of Lambertville, she worked for nine years as a hairdresser at the community’s Class Act Salon. She donated time as a vice president of the Bedford Parent Teacher Association and was founder of the Temperance Road Elementary School Charity Auction. Terri had two children, Bradley and Stephen Celski.
