The Lingar Family and Friends

The Susan L. Lingar “A.G.” Memorial Scholarship was established by Winston L. (Len) Lingar, in memory of his wife, Susan, to honor her belief that all education is an important step toward achieving personal and professional goals. An extension of her commitment to higher education, this scholarship is an avenue for friends and family to honor and keep her vibrant spirit alive.

Susan was a graduate of Monroe County Community College and Siena Heights University. She worked in the accounting department at North Star Steel and was promoted to Assistant Accounting Manager at BHP. The middle child of three children born and raised in Monroe to George and Pauline Galbraith, Susan married Winston (Len) Lingar in 1971 and raised two sons, Michael and Ryan.

“Sue loved the accounting profession and would have been proud to extend her compassion to those pursuing the same endeavor,” said Mr. Lingar.
