Robert and Ann Harwood

Robert and Ann Harwood

Alec Robert Harwood was born on April 22, 1994, in Dearborn, Michigan. He was one of three children born from the union of Robert Wayne Harwood and Ann Marie (Williams) Harwood. Alec was a loving brother to his older sister Lindsay and twin sister Rebecca. He was a devoted son to Rob and Ann and was known to many as the man they could always count on to lend a hand.

Alec lived his life to the fullest and never let a moment he could be with friends and family go to waste. He enjoyed four-wheeling, kayaking, hunting, trips to St. Helen and Mullet Lake, and being surrounded by friends and family. Alec will be remembered as the life of the party and someone who always knew what to say to lighten the mood. He had a kind heart.

Alec embedded himself into the Monroe community. He demonstrated this dedication to the community by becoming captain of the MHS swim team, shoveling driveways after snowstorms, and most recently a very dedicated brother of Local 671 where he worked as a welder and pipe-fitter – a position and brotherhood he was extremely proud to be a part of.

Alec will be remembered by his contagious laugh, bubbly personality, and selfless spirit that touched so many hearts.

He died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
