Monroe County Community College Library Staff and Friends
The Monroe County Community College Library Staff and friends of M. Carol Kish – a librarian at MCCC for 22 years – endowed this scholarship in her honor as a reminder of her joy of life, her laughter, and her valiant fight against cancer.
Ms. Kish provided invaluable assistance to innumerable students, faculty, and visitors to the MCCC Library beginning in 1969. She is remembered as a mentor, teacher, colleague and friend by many at MCCC as well as for her love of higher education. Her friends chose to establish a culinary scholarship for MCCC students because of her love of gourmet cooking.
Her own education included earning a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan.
