Dr. Grace B. Yackee and friends

This scholarship was established by Edward Banachowski’s daughter, Dr. Grace Yackee.

Banachowski was discharged from the Navy at the end of World War II and attended the University of Toledo through the GI bill, majoring in business and marketing. His degree was put on hold when he took a job with Sears Roebuck and Co. for 35 years, finally earning an associate of technical studies of business from UT at the age of 76. He is very committed to education, family, and the community.
